How to read it
Pathao prices by area type, not by district. Its rate card has three kinds of place: inside Dhaka city, Dhaka's suburbs and outside Dhaka, and it asks whether the parcel stays in the same city or goes to another. A parcel from Rangpur to Khulna and one from Sylhet to Barishal sit in the same row: outside Dhaka, to another city. That is why the calculator asks for the area type, not the district.
Check your exact area. Which places count as suburbs, and the area list itself, are set by each courier. Before you fix your delivery charge, look up your pickup area and your buyer's area in the courier's merchant panel or calculator.
Weigh the parcel packed. The calculator covers parcels up to 2 kg, the bands on Pathao's card. For anything heavier, use the courier's own calculator.
The COD charge is a percentage of the cash collected, not a fixed fee, so it grows with the order value. How each courier works it out is in the FAQ below.
Steadfast publishes its zone prices only through its own calculator. So we show its COD charge and link to Steadfast's calculator for the delivery price.

Frequently asked questions
The calculator shows each courier's standard published rates. Your panel shows yours: a negotiated rate, the way the courier classes your exact area, or a price newer than the one we checked. Steadfast's own pricing page says merchants on negotiated rates are billed on those rates (Steadfast pricing, checked 22 October 2026). The rate in your panel is the one you pay.
For Steadfast, no. Its terms set the COD charge at a fixed 1 % of the collected amount after the delivery charges are deducted (Steadfast's terms, checked 22 October 2026). Pathao's rate page says a 1 % COD charge applies to all deliveries but does not say what it is worked out on (Pathao's rate page, checked 22 October 2026), so check it against your Pathao statement.
Steadfast's terms say it does not charge for return parcels, but you pay the delivery charge for every parcel you hand over, delivered or cancelled (Steadfast's terms, checked 22 October 2026). Pathao's rate page states a return charge of 50 % of the delivery cost, not applicable to Dhaka metro orders (Pathao's rate page, checked 22 October 2026).
